I suggest you add like a progress tab for every activity that is still ongoing. i was trying to update a book progress today, but the only option i have is to make another record of the media so it looks like it's a 2nd read of the book instead of an update from the same log.

YES I SECOND THIS! It’s nice that we can record interests but it would be better if we could track our progress in each! Like keeping track of how many episodes into a show you’re in, or how many chapters of a book you’ve read so far. But because there’s many forms of media that one can keep track of, the feature should be flexible/customizable somehow. Like if I wanna keep track of my progress in a game, it’s quite tricky to do so because it’s not something easy to track with an app like shows with episodes or books with chapters. So the feature to track progress should be flexible enough to cater to different interests!
